8a. A map of Rincon de la Vieja National Park 8b. Another bridge! But this one was much easier than yesterday's 8c. We saw a crested guan early on in our walk 8d. Check out the cool roots for this strangler fig
8e. A spider monkey 8f. Our guide said, 'See that red dot way off in the distance - it's a collared trogon' 8g. We did take one or two pictures of things besides birds and mammels 8h. The leafcutter ants left these huge piles of sawdust
8i. We reached a waterfall 8j. Resting at the waterfall 8k. We crossed a lot of streams. When the crossing was wide, there would be a rope 8l. We arrived at a fumerole
8m. 106 degrees celcius! 8n. A immature green iguana 8o. Another fumerole - I think I took this same picture in Yellowstone! 8p. This iguana was so intent on the berries, it didn't care that we were inches away
8q. A capuchin monkey 8r. Crested caracaras 8s. One more bridge 8t. A roadside hawk
8u. Bye-bye Rincon de la Vieja National Park 8v. While driving to our next 'hotel', our guide spotted this double-striped thick-knee, and we needed binoculars to find it! 8w. The place where we stayed had lots of reptiles, including this cane toad 8x. And this frog
